"Golden Rumi"
 
This original piece is free hand drawn and painted. It is in classical tezhip style painted with hand prepared gold.
 
Created using 22carat gold, watercolour, gouache and acrylic on illustration board.
 
The size of this painting is approx 30x40 cm in the frame 
 
This symmetrical art type is called "Tezhip" illumination which means ornamenting with gold, hence gold is one of the main material used in my paintings.
The gold is burnished in a way as to give a beautiful shine which catches the light in different ways throughout the day illuminating the pattern almost giving it life.
