About the event
Hiç: In Pursuit of Nothingness4 – 30 November
Presented by Yunus Emre Enstitüsü and curated by Nagihan Seymour, Hiç: In Pursuit of Nothingness is an exhibition that invites viewers to explore the Sufi concept of hiç — “nothingness.” Rooted in the idea that by letting go of the self, we open the door to the Infinite, the exhibition brings together artists from around the world in a contemplative dialogue between tradition and transcendence.
Through calligraphy, illumination, ceramics, geometry, and rhythm, each artwork becomes a meditation on presence and absence, form and void. Quoting Rumi’s words, “Be nothing, and you will be everything,” Hiç reveals that stillness itself can become a source of light and meaning.
