I bought a Kiln!!

I have been starting to paint ceramics recently and have been really enjoying it.

Today I finally decided it was time to go all in and I have bought a Nabertherm kiln for my studio.

I am excited to start to fire my own ceramics.

Keep an eye out for my new line in decorated ceramics.

New Studio

I am pleased and excited to announce I have now found a studio space in ASC Studios in Kingston upon Thames.

I have enjoyed working from home but my art and business have outgrown the house, so it was time to move into my own space.

I will also be able to organise and run courses from here so click below if you are interested in learning Tezhip.

ASC studios houses many fabulous local professional artists.

We will also take part in the KAOS (Kingston Artists Open Studios) twice a year where the studio will be open to the public, this is a great opportunity to buy great art by the artists directly.

I won Woking Art Societies Spring Trophy

I was delighted to hear that I had won the prize for best painting at the Woking Art Society group Exhibition at the Lightbox Gallery...

My piece "Timeless" was the judges choice and given the Spring prize.

New Illumination/Tezhip Levels I&II workshops 2018

Following on from the success of the 10 week beginners illumination course I taught at the Yunus Emre Institue in London.

We are starting two new courses for both beginners and intermediate levels.

The level I course last for 8 weeks and is every Wednesday starting 16th May 2018

The level II course last for 8 weeks and is every Thursday starting 17th May 2018

Guildford Art Society members exhibition

Guildford Art Society will have a free entry member’s exhibition at the Guildford House Gallery on Guildford High Street between 5th to 20th May 2018.

I will be exhibiting a few paintings, that will also be for sale, as well as being there in person on the 5th & 6th between 14.00-16.00.

Feel free to swing past for a chat.

In addition there will be a selection of affordable art from talented local artists.

Windsor Contemporary Art Fair 2018

After the success of 2017, I will be back at this year’s Windsor Contemporary Art Fair on 9th to 11th November 2018.

The fair will be held at the Royal Windsor Racecourse in Windsor. 

Amongst the work’s I will have for sale will be original paintings as well as limited edition prints and cards.

The Fair is a prominent national arts event. It will showcase the best artists that the UK and Europe have to offer.

Landmark Art Fair 2018

I am excited to be part of this year’s Landmark Art fair in Teddington.

The fair runs from 18th-20th May 2018

I will have the usual selection of original artwork as well as limited edition prints and cards.

The Fair has a vibrant variety of visual art including painting, print making, photography, jewellery, glass, collage and sculpture.

There are upwards of 80 exhibitors.

Childwickbury Art Fair 2018

I have been invited to take part in next years Childwickbury Art Fair between 6-8th July 2018.

Amongst the works, I will have for sale will be original paintings, limited edition prints and cards, as well as live painting demonstrations on my stall.

Childwickbury Arts Fair offers art, live music, food and drink in the beautiful grounds of the Childwickbury estate, the home and nerve centre of Stanley Kurbrick and his movies until his death, and still lived in by his wife Christine Kurbrick.

Traditional Tezhip Illumination Workshops 2018

I will be starting workshops in 2018.

The course will include an overview of the history and origins of the art.

Students will  learn how to design and paint an illuminated shamsa compassion, meaning “sun burst”. This is a classic Islamic manuscript illumination style incorporating gilded plant and floral designs.

By the end of the workshop, each student should have a finished piece of artwork.

All levels of ability and experience welcome.

The course fee includes course materials.

I will be at next years Surrey Contemporary Art Fair on 24th to 25th February 2018. The fair will be held at the Sandown Park Race Course in Esher.

Chester Art Fair Affordable Art Charity Sale

I am pleased to announce that I will be taking part in this years CAF100 charity art sale. I have donated my piece "Stars on the Sky".

This is for The Countess Charity and the Babygrow Appeal. Local to the area the charity raises money for the development of a new Neonatal Unit at the Countess of Chester Hospital.

Reflection and Illumination exhibition at The Lightbox, Woking

My solo exhibition ran for 3 weeks from 21st March 2017 at The Lighbox in Woking.

I would like to thank everyone who came to visit and especially all the staff and volunteers at The Lightbox for all their help.
