Allium Garden

This original piece of my own design is free hand drawn and painted. It is in classical tezhip  form. I was inspired by allium flowers in my garden and I tried to stylized in the artform of Tezhip. The colours choice was typically chosen from real life Allium.

Created using 22 carat gold, watercolour, gouache on paperboard.
The size of the painting is approx. 58x75 cm. 

This symmetrical art type is called "Tezhip" illumination which means ornamenting with gold, hence gold is one of the main material used in my paintings.

The gold is burnished in a way as to give a beautiful shine which catches the light in different ways throughout the day illuminating the pattern almost giving it life.
