7 Laws Of The Universe
 
It is a special painting and a special design! 
 
The inspiration of this design is from the seven laws of the universe. Each layer is symbolising one law. According to some beliefs there are seven Universal Laws or Principles by which everyone and everything is governed which are Laws of Mentalism, Correspondence, Vibration, Polarity, Rhythm, Cause and Effect and Gender. The Universe exists in perfect harmony and order by virtue of these Laws.
 
This original piece of my own design is free hand drawn and painted. It is in classical tezhip style painted with hand prepared gold. I spent 4 weeks full time on this painting, used 125 gold leaves in total.
 
Created using 22 carat yellow gold, 22 carat moon gold, watercolour, gouache and acrylics on acid free paperboard.
 
The size of the painting is approx. 90x90 cm. 
 
This symmetrical art type is called "Tezhip" illumination which means ornamenting with gold, hence gold is one of the main material used in my paintings.
The gold is burnished in a way as to give a beautiful shine which catches the light in different ways throughout the day illuminating the pattern almost giving it life.
